Seeking Service in God

It seems as if every time I am seeking to serve God, my life starts to get hectic. My kids seem to need some extra attention, my husband is supportive but hesitant, and the other relationships in my life seem to gain extra tension.

I question my service and wonder, "if I am doing God's work, why does it all seem to be falling apart?"  It takes some stepping back from the situation to always realize that God doesn't guarantee an easy road without complications.

He does, however, guarantee a life of hope and freedom in Him. He promises that He will be by our side and that faith in Him is just that. It's all about Him.  Please pray with me as I seek His service and that I will continue to be faithful just as He is in all He says and does. Pray with me that my windows of opportunity will open up to seek His service in all that I Do for Him.

  1. I have the same struggles with making a plan to serve God, and then feeling discontent when life interrupts and my well thought out plans get derailed. What I have seen over time, though, is that even when I think my plans aren't working, God's are! Some of my best adventures with God have been the "off-road" kind, the ones that are unexpected, the kind I could never plan. This makes me think of John 3:8: "The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” You just never know where the Spirit will lead you!

Seek Him First! Today's Bible Reading

James 1:17
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of Lights with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.

It is of utmost importance that you know that Christ died for you. He died for all sinners so that our relationship with Him could be restored.

Because of His sacrifice on the cross we can have peace. Are you seeking more peace today? Peace of the soul can only be given through the redemptive power of Jesus Christ.

I hope that you, too, know the saving grace of an amazing God.
